PIGGY BACKS

Piggy Backs or Truck mounted forklifts range from 3,000 lbs. to 8,000 lbs. capacity and they mainly use ITA/Hook type forks with a negative drop (long neck).

There is not a standard dimension of negative drop forks, the top hook position can vary for each truck model; therefore the working back height (h1) must be measured.

Class 2 Negative Drop
A negative drop fork has a standard dimension between hooks per ANSI B56.11.4, but the upper hook position (h1) is higher to create a longer drop between the bottom hook and the floor.
Common section sizes in-stock for quick delivery, up to 96” length:
- 1.25x4”: capacity per pair 4,000 lbs @ 24” load center
- 1.5x4”: capacity per pair 5,000 lbs @ 24” load center
- 1.75x4”: capacity per pair 6,500 lbs @ 24” load center
- 2x2” (block fork): capacity per pair 4,000 lbs @ 24” load center
